Treatment:
Eqvalan® Gold is an equine dewormer, used for the treatment and control of tapeworms, roundworms (large and small strongyles, hairworms, pinworms, ascarids, neck threadworms, threadworms, large-mouth stomachworms, lungworms, summer sores – cutaneous habronematidosis, cutaneous onchocerchosis) and bots.
Dosage:
Use only as directed. Eqvalan® Gold paste is administered orally by means of a disposable syringe. Each mass marking on the syringe plunger delivers enough paste to treat 100kg body mass. One syringe contains sufficient paste to treat ONE 600kg horse.
Before administering, make sure the horse’s mouth contains no feed. The entire dose should be deposited on the back of the tongue or deep into the cheek pouch. Immediately raise the horse’s
head for a few seconds after dosing and ensure that the complete dose is consumed.
Mares: Regular dosing at 6-8 week intervals on pastures during summer and autumn is recommended.
Stallions: Treat at least twice a year.
Foals: Regular strategic treatment at 6-8 week intervals. Not recommended for foals younger than 6 months.
Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals. Although this remedy has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions, failure thereof may ensue as a result of a wide range of reasons. If this is suspected, seek veterinary advice and notify the
registration holder.
