Treatment:
Nutritional supplement for calves and other species. Source of energy and electrolytes. Diakur® Plus contains a patented hydrophobic citrus fibre and may assist in decreasing colonization of coliform bacteria (E. coli and Salmonella species) via lecithin-coated fibres and mannanoligosaccharides (MOS).
Dosage:
For oral use only. Discard any unconsumed mixture each day. It is recommended that a veterinarian’s opinion is sought before use and if diarrhoea persists for more than 2 days.
Calves: Mix 1 sachet in 2 liters of warm water, milk or milk replacer. Feed immediately. For larger calves or those requiring more energy, mix 1½ sachets in 3 liters of warm water, milk or milk replacer. Feed every 8 to 10 hours for 24 to 48 hours.
Pigs: Mix 1 sachet in 2 liters of warm water for a litter of 8 pigs. Feed in 4 feedings per day from a pan. Normal feeding is for 2 days.
Foals: Mix 1 sachet in 2 liters of warm water. Feed this amount to foal twice daily. The mixture may be fed by bucket or bottle. Amount recommended is for a 50 kg foal. Adjust for larger or smaller animals. Normal feedings are for 2 days.
Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals. Although this remedy has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions, failure thereof may ensue as a result of a wide range of reasons. If this is suspected, seek veterinary advice and notify the registration holder.
